Margie Bowker is a professional artist now living on the Central Coast of California. She was born, educated and lived in South Africa until moving to USA in 1997.
Margie held her first successful solo exhibition in the United States just two months after arriving in the country! Her paintings are found in collections and homes throughout the world. She has also illustrated several published children's books.
Margie is a gifted artist who paints in most media with a range in subjects from life-like portraits to vibrant florals, landscapes and seascapes. Her forte is stylized ladies of the 1930's. Her keen sense of humor sparkles its way through these whimsical paintings.
Her work is exhibited at private showings in Margie's Studio and in galleries, locally, Visions Gallery in Morro Bay and the David Ryan Gallery in Orcutt, California.
